About The Position

Maintenance Supervisor Position Summary Monday-Thursday 6 PM-4:15 AM This position is 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky. Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry-leading Glatt technology. The Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing and directing the work site maintenance mechanics. The Maintenance Supervisor will assist Process Engineers and Maintenance Management by collecting data and delivering value-added solutions; and they will also review and prioritize work order request from production and other departments.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a technical major or vocational certificate in related field with 3+ years related experience; OR High school diploma with 3+ of experience in a pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, or chemical manufacturing environment in a technical position.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3+ years maintenance or operating experience with fluid bed, compression / tableting, pan coating or encapsulation equipment
  • Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Experience in programming operator interfaces.
  • Ability to troubleshoot simple hardware and software problems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic control systems and components
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, or bend for an extended period of time.
  • Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents, equipment inspection, and use of computer monitor

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily shift activities of maintenance mechanics by working cross functionally with all departments to ensure alignment
  • Will lead and document on-site classroom and hands-on training specific to maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Monitors key equipment performance metrics such as equipment downtime and reject trends.
  • Provide technical investigations for all plant issues related to maintenance and engineering.
  • Will work with Process Engineers to identify failure modes of equipment and maintenance strategies to mitigate impact of failure.
  • Will be required to communicate and work with vendors / manufacturers in ordering necessary supplies and equipment as well as collaborating with vendors / manufacturers regarding troubleshooting guidance on machines / equipment.
  • Will utilize JD Edwards for ordering of necessary supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Will ensure a proper shift exchange between operations support maintenance teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
