About The Position

The successful candidate will have experience in all facets of Automotive Vehicle Paint shop maintenance. Maintenance supervision and leadership experience with supporting sustainable production as well as new model and/or new equipment introductions is required. This person must be able to build upon previous successes, and take our Paint Maintenance team to the next level. Candidate must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect paint quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, demonstrating the ability to be an innovator and change agent. Supervision of hourly maintenance technicians. This is a hands-on working supervisor role

Requirements

5+ years of experience in supervision and leadership
5+ years of extensive experience with trouble-shooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance breakdowns and failures
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs and CMMS database
Open minded , highly flexible, positive attitude
Good overall people management skills
Great communication skills, both verbal and written
Internal Candidates must be at least Lead level EMT for consideration

Responsibilities

Manpower management: day to day line support, in-house equipment maintenance repair work, vacation scheduling; OT & weekend work scheduling
Interaction with customer departments and managers (Production Control, General Assembly, Paint)
Standard development and creation of procedure and methods
Project management: both internal maintenance projects, and minor contractor projects
Procedures & PMs, develop & maintain proper documentation of: all necessary procedures, periodic maintenance tasks, equipment changes (electrical, spare parts upgrades, mechanical)
Training and directing the training of junior maintenance associates
