About The Position

The Supervisor, Maintenance oversees and assists in increasing equipment reliability and reducing downtime while maintaining quality while ensuring safety compliance. This role is responsible and accountable for driving maintenance excellence by planning, training and implementing maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent; B.S degree in related field preferred.
  • Four (4) – six (6) years of plant maintenance and supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing operation.
  • Strong Computer operation skills, preferably MS Word and Excel, as well as in depth knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Familiar with maintenance management and maintenance excellence techniques such as Preventive Maintenance (PM)/Predictive Maintenance (PDM).
  • Knowledge of local state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to maintenance as well as OSHA safety standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles and experience in working towards Lean production while driving continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and providing work assignments for preventative maintenance of equipment and/or repair of equipment; coordinating maintenance with production staff; recording repairs and maintenance performed; sourcing replacement parts and managing spare parts inventory
  • Ensuring correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Analyzing equipment for root cause failure to prevent future problems; identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics
  • Recommending improvements in equipment, quality and working environments
  • Promotes and actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify key gaps in development of skilled trades such as electrical, electrical controls, general maintenance and skilled trades; develop tactical plans to close key resource gaps in the maintenance team skill set
