About The Position

SUMMARY: Coordinate and deliver plant-specific training, literature, and manuals for classroom instruction on the fundamentals of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, boiler maintenance and other job-related subjects. Create and maintain training aids, equipment, materials, student records and class schedules. Facilitate training for new and existing maintenance team members. Interface with vendors concerning training content and delivery. Coordinate safety training for the maintenance department. Interface with the corporate maintenance team to provide input into the creation, revision, and delivery of the Tyson standard maintenance training programs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma is preferred; bachelor’s degree in a related area preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience; Certifications in any training topics or techniques is a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years related experience or background in industrial maintenance required with strong working knowledge of hydraulics, high/low electrical voltage systems, pneumatics, fabrication skills. boilers and maintenance refrigeration.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint are required along with the ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus strong presentation skills required.
  • Strong management skills, sound judgment, leadership and organizational skills required.
  • Special Skills: Strong management skills; sound judgment leadership organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Internal disqualifiers are the following: 6 attendance points or more Any suspension on record for the last 12 months

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in any training topics or techniques is a plus.
