Responsible for day-to-day management of Maintenance department, ensuring tasks are carried out in a safe, professional manner employing all current acceptable practices. Supervises the department personnel and assumes responsibility for the operations of the department. The Supervisor of Maintenance performs work quality inspections on a routine basis to ensure all work orders are completed. Responsible for the maintenance of all mechanical spaces in a clean and well-organized condition. Functions with safety, morale, and efficiency of the department and team in mind. Assists additional leadership in areas such as office procedures, work order delegation, files, engineering library, electronic drawings, machinery history, preventive maintenance, parts procurement and inventory, writing of operating procedures, and streamlining of systems. Possess the skills necessary to perform evaluations of all types of building and equipment repairs. Approves time off requests, and signs off on employee timecards. Maintains schedule to ensure proper staffing at all times. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training new employees. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Experience providing excellent customers service in a prompt and professional manner and have the ability to work independently, balancing multiple tasks within deadlines. Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances, as well as Health policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Seven years of experience in building systems preferred
  • Supervisory experience desired
  • valid driver's license
  • good driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Experience providing excellent customers service in a prompt and professional manner and have the ability to work independently, balancing multiple tasks within deadlines
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances, as well as Health policies and procedures

  • Associate's Degree preferred
