The Sup, Maintenance coordinates staff in maintenance/repair of the buildings and systems, through scheduled work orders and preventative maintenance, which includes physical structures, grounds, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electrical work and area maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the mechanical field.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), GED equivalent programs, and/or other Vocational degrees/certificates preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and monitors the minor equipment installation, patient bed repairs, dietary equipment repair, and ceiling/light bulb replacement, and small projects and office moves.
  • Direct management inspection and observation.
  • Random review of all work activity records to ensure accurate, timely and safe operations.
  • Assign workers accordingly.
  • Print Room up to date and signage provided per customer request and repaired when damaged.
  • Maintains all Joint Commission & DOH documentation including Life Safety activities.
  • Performs visual quality inspections of common areas to ensure that all public areas are perceived as fresh and well maintained.
  • Attend EOC rounds.
  • One Team area is surveyed per quarter and corrections are completed.
  • Provides overall supervision and assistance to any work group assigned.
  • Works from blueprints, sketches, diagrams or verbal instructions.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
