This position is responsible for the safety, quality, and efficiency of hourly employees’ work during the execution of electrical preventative and reactive maintenance. The role requires 100% compliance with refinery Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies, serving as a safety leader, and immediately addressing unsafe conditions. Daily responsibilities include communicating electrical equipment maintenance resource availability, obtaining equipment readiness status, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available, performing daily field audits, and communicating performance expectations. The supervisor will oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment, provide technical assistance and supervision to Electrical Equipment Mechanics, and offer feedback, coaching, and mentoring. The role also involves supporting Planners, Schedulers, and Area Maintenance Coordinators, handling administrative and personnel issues, responding to plant emergencies, performing on-call duties, and eliminating barriers to effective field execution. Long-term, the supervisor will champion and participate in initiatives to improve the Maintenance process. Key aspects include conducting business in a team environment, setting expectations for hourly staff, maintaining effective communication across various refinery groups (Inspection, Maintenance, Operations, Process Engineering), coordinating daily tasks, attending meetings, reporting job status, and coordinating with other crafts and contractors. The position also provides electrical equipment expert support for turnaround planning and execution, and capital projects, and involves completing assigned reports and maintaining files.
