Requirements

  • 8-10 years of maintenance experience in a large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a large distribution center and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Technically proficient in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to review and critique schematic diagrams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CMMS.
  • Knowledge of 5-S practices preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Awareness of state/local regulations and code requirements.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (oral/written).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of 5-S practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all functions pertaining to facilities maintenance, including preventive maintenance programs and repairs to the building and equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance G&A expense for all budgeted items in the Maintenance and Repair accounts.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing material handling equipment and proposed construction projects.
  • Ensure timely response to critical equipment downtime issues in the distribution center.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel to meet job function requirements.
  • Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively.
  • Interact with outside vendors for coordination of construction projects and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain back stock of maintenance spare parts and supplies while minimizing inventory levels.
  • Ensure contractual compliance for various service accounts.
  • Maintain an active partnership with the safety committee regarding safety issues.
