About The Position

Assist in managing all aspects of the assigned Restaurant Outlet on a daily basis and coordinate special events; Ensure compliance with standards of service and operating procedures. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Mount Airy Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Requirements

Minimum: Basic reading, writing and math skills and six months of food supervision experience.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
Standing up and moving about the dining room and kitchen
Communicating with other people
Handling food, objects, products and utensils
Bending, stooping, kneeling
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with the other cooks, wait staff or other supervisors.
Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances are used frequently.
Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Must be able to stand, walk and move through all property areas.
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods.
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental state of mind to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees and members of the business community.
Adequate manual dexterity, including hand and wrist movement to operate office equipment and perform light lifting.

Ensures that all aspects of the outlet contribute to 100% guest satisfaction.
Demonstrates excellent customer relation skills and ability to market the outlet. Advises customers on selection of food and beverage items.
Ensures that food is prepared and served according to the desired portions and quality specifications.
Directs the daily work activities of assigned personnel within the dining facility. Responsible for proper scheduling and assignment of stations within the outlet.
Responsible for daily check control system, payroll, and forecasting. Prepares requisitions.
Maintains file documentation and accurate entries in daily logbook.
Ensures adherence to Board of Health standards.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Catering, Banquets, Outlets, Maintenance, and Guest Services.
May assist with other duties as needed.
