About The Position

LMHC or LCSW that has the credentials of Qualified Supervisor. Experience doing counseling with families and children affected by sexual abuse highly preferred. The supervisor must have monthly staffings and regular treatment team meetings that are documented. The main office is in Orange County but occassional visits to Osceola County Satellite Office may be necessary once or twice a month. Provides day-to-day supervision for the department and graduate students through clinical direction and guidance and coordinates the workload, distribution, and scheduling of team members to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing to meet the psychosocial needs of patients and families. This is a salaried position. A current supervisor will be available to train the new supervisor and partner as a team to assist the staff.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited program in social work, mental health, or marriage and family therapy is required.
  • Requires valid and active Florida license under Florida Statue Chapter 491: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Six (6) years of advanced clinical experience, preferably in a health or mental health setting, including four (4) years of clinical supervision

Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective recruitment, selection, orientation, development, supervision, and evaluation of professional (and support) staff to optimize achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Ensures all patient care activities support established clinical standards of care and comply with various regulatory agencies. Considers age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs of the patient population served.
  • Promotes and models appropriate professional behavior as described in the Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrates passion for service excellence.
  • Participates in or leads various committees or task forces in the department, hospital, and/or community.
  • Builds and maintains effective partnerships and relationships with other healthcare teams.
  • Develops a high-performing team.
  • Provides training and consultative services to the healthcare team regarding mental health issues.
  • Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Provides coverage for the department, in absence of the manager.
  • Serves as primary supervision backup for evening staff.
  • Uses human resources, time, equipment, and supplies effectively and efficiently.
  • Provides coverage for other clinicians or supervisors as needed.
  • Provides direct patient/family interventions when necessary.
  • Maintains expertise in leading edge developments in the profession.
