About The Position

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations, ensuring equipment functionality, maintaining inventory, supporting team members, and facilitating effective communication between the Laundry department and other venues. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and collaboration to maintain operational efficiency and service standards.

Requirements

High School/GED diploma required
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in laundry operations, housekeeping, or a related hospitality or facilities environment.
At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience or demonstrated ability to lead and support a team.
Working knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, chemicals, and safe handling procedures.
Basic understanding of inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Ensure the laundry team is properly staffed, prepared, and operational at the start of each day.
Identify and promptly communicate any operational challenges to the Laundry Manager and/or Director of Hotels.
Monitor and ensure all laundry machinery and equipment are fully operational, coordinating repairs as necessary.
Provide hands-on operational support when needed to ensure continuity of service and team success.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75-100 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
Lead by example, promoting teamwork, efficiency, and accountability within the department.
Collaborate with Supervisors to prioritize and meet the operational needs of the venues.
Maintain accurate and organized inventory of all laundry supplies and chemicals.
Communicate inventory requirements to the Laundry Manager and ensure timely ordering and receipt of supplies.
Complete all required operational, pricing, and billing reports accurately and within established timelines.
Work closely with the Laundry team to ensure clear and effective communication between the Laundry department and all other venues.
Develop, mentor, and support the Laundry Lead to encourage professional growth and departmental leadership.
Assists Laundry Manager with training all new hires
Ensure that all team members are taking necessary meal breaks during each shift and organize their time to limit overtime hours
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to complete basic reports, logs, and documentation accurately and on time.
Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as operational needs require.
