About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Organizes and manages an assigned section of the clinical laboratory, and supervises section personnel. As a working supervisor, routinely performs the duties of a Medical Technologist III. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or a science related to clinical medicine and with formal hospital-based internship and registration as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or recognized equivalent certification). Incumbent will be required to successfully complete a laboratory orientation program. Thorough knowledge of standard laboratory techniques and laboratory works of assigned section gained through at least 5 years of work experience as a staff Medical Technologist. Demonstrated organizational and communications skills and leadership potential. Each applicant who advances to peer interview will be given a competency test which must be completed with accuracy of 80% or higher. Preferred: Above with Master=s Degree, or a Specialty Registry. Management and supervisory education/training/experience.

Requirements
