Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, plus one to two years of related experience in a human services field.
  • Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Social Worker Associate (or the ability to be licensed) through the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with supervision and management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Supervisor/Team Lead provides direct supervision and oversight to Family Development Specialists.
  • The role involves supervising and developing staff, coordinating staff tasks, handling emergencies, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • The Supervisor/Team Lead will be responsible for a regional team of Family Development Specialists.
  • They will review and edit home studies to ensure professionalism in writing and compliance to all requirements and will work to develop staff skills as needed.
  • The Supervisor/Team Lead plays a key role in staff training and support, family support, and ensuring a high standard of service.
