About The Position

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory control and material coordination activities within Cryoquip’s heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and availability of raw materials, components, WIP (work-in-process), and finished goods to support production schedules and operational efficiency. The Inventory Control Supervisor leads and supports Inventory Clerks and Material Coordinators while driving process discipline, system accuracy, and continuous improvement across inventory operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years in inventory control in manufacturing.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience managing WIP inventory and stock transfers.
  • Experience handling large-scale materials.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate inventory tracking for raw materials, components, WIP, and finished products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of WIP stock transfers between departments and locations.
  • Establish and manage cycle count programs and annual physical inventory audits.
  • Review and approve inventory adjustments in accordance with company policies.
  • Lead investigations into inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials.
  • Coordinate movement of heavy industrial materials using forklifts and cranes.
  • Partner with production, shipping, receiving, and purchasing teams.
  • Maintain integrity of inventory records within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Ensure all material movements and WIP transactions are properly recorded.
  • Generate inventory and WIP reports for planning and management.
  • Identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and material flow issues.
  • Improve processes to reduce scrap, rework, and shortages.
  • Support standardization of procedures.
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits related to inventory control and material traceability.
  • Supervise, train, and support Inventory Clerks and Material Coordinators.
  • Assign daily tasks and prioritize workload based on production, shipping, and receiving requirements.
  • Monitor performance metrics related to inventory accuracy and material availability.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
