Make a Difference The Supervisor of Instrument Processing serves as a leader of the team and provides support to the OR by coordinating the activities of the sterile processing department. In addition to being responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, maintenance and preservation, and sterile processing, of all instruments, equipment, and non-sterile supplies at the center. This role organizes and implements staff education, completes staff schedules and assignments, documents regulatory reports for QI, organizes the instrument and processing needs with all new service lines, identifies and implements quality improvement initiatives, schedules all service activities on equipment and instruments, and maintains sterile processing policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification required.
  • Must obtain within six (6) months from hire, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of current sterile processing experience preferred.
  • Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
