About The Position

The Supervisor Inpatient Pharmacy at Kaiser Permanente is responsible for providing supervision and technical/clinical direction to pharmacy staff in an inpatient setting. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, oversees day-to-day operations, and assists in the development and implementation of strategic pharmacy initiatives. The supervisor plays a key role in enhancing quality management programs and ensuring staff training and performance improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience providing functional direction or completion of an accredited pharmacy PGY1 or PGY2 residency.
• Degree in Pharmacy.
• California Pharmacist License required.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Ability to lead and work as part of a professional team.
• Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Pharm.D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical/clinical direction to pharmacy staff.

• Assist the Inpatient Pharmacy Director with strategic initiatives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned pharmacy services.
• Collaborate with providers and department heads to improve quality management programs.
• Administer organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and direction for pharmacy staff, including hiring and performance evaluations.
• Ensure ongoing training for staff to enhance job performance.
• Participate in designing and improving systems and processes for quality and cost-effectiveness.
