The Supervisor, Industrial Occupations, Business & Culinary Tutor at St. Louis Community College (STLCC) plays a crucial role in enhancing the academic success of students within the Industrial Occupations, Business, and Culinary MetaMajor. This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and supervising tutors across the district, ensuring that tutoring services are effectively scheduled and available to meet student demands. The Supervisor will also track and report on student usage of tutoring services, providing insights for continuous improvement and ensuring that the needs of students are met efficiently. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Supervisor will actively engage in tutoring for a minimum of five hours per week, providing direct support to students. This role requires collaboration with the MetaMajor manager to address student issues and challenges, as well as to develop and manage budget requirements for the MetaMajor. The Supervisor will also participate in course development projects, contributing expertise in Academic Support and Tutoring (AS&T) supplemental content. The position emphasizes the importance of building relationships with faculty and leadership within the MetaMajor to foster open communication and shared services for students. The Supervisor will attend campus meetings, collaborate with other supervisors, and serve on various committees to enhance the quality of tutoring services and ensure a consistent student experience across the board.
