About The Position

Direct the performance of daily nongaming revenue audits and supervise Income Control Auditors.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Two years of experience in accounting or audit is required, with experience in Income Control in the gaming industry is preferred
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of internal control procedures
  • Excellent attendance record in previous positions
  • Willing to learn and to be adaptable
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

  • Ability to work independently
  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items

Nice To Haves

  • A BSBA in a related field from an accredited educational institution, in Accounting or Finance, is preferred
  • One year of supervisory experience is preferred
  • with experience in Income Control in the gaming industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the training and supervision of income control auditors and gaming auditors
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulatory agencies
  • Work with departments on major variances and exceptions
  • Review daily audit checklists for completion and ensure proper completion of checklists by assigned auditors
  • Responsible for the preparation of all month-end journal entries
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end work (allocated tips, other reporting requirements)
  • Supervise the preparation of all required exceptions
  • Assist in all areas of Income Control as required, both gaming and non-gaming
  • Prepare a schedule of Income Control personnel to meet the needs of the property, avoiding unnecessary overtime
  • Meet or exceed the attendance guidelines for the job; be dependable and reliable
  • Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions
  • Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with Team Members
  • Communicate as required with the Tribal Gaming Commission
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and other planning activities
  • Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions, including but not limited to interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
  • Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform their responsibilities
  • Exhibit sound decision-making with an emphasis on motivating the team and maintaining high morale
  • Provide continuous positive coaching for the development of Team Members and appropriate corrective action when necessary
  • Provide timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries
  • Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with Team Members and guests
  • Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to Team Members and guests.
