Position Summary: The Supervisor, Imaging Float Pool is responsible for the direct frontline supervision, daily workflow coordination, and clinical oversight of imaging float pool coworkers across assigned modalities, facilities, and service areas. The incumbent is accountable for ensuring adequate staffing coverage across imaging departments and for the efficient and safe delivery of imaging services in alignment with departmental policies, clinical standards, and all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements, including The Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, and applicable state and federal regulations. This role serves as the primary operational and clinical resource for float pool coworkers during the assigned shift or designated area of coverage, and is responsible for the appropriate assignment of coworkers based on demonstrated competency, patient care needs, and operational demand across all covered areas. The Supervisor supports the onboarding, orientation, and multi-modality training of new float pool coworkers, conducts ongoing competency monitoring, delivers real-time coaching and feedback, and initiates corrective action as warranted in alignment with organizational policy. The incumbent identifies and resolves operational, staffing, and patient care issues in a timely manner, escalates complex concerns, and participates in quality, safety, and performance improvement activities. This position exercises independent judgment in managing the day-to-day supervision of assigned imaging float pool coworkers and the operational activities of the designated units, areas, or shifts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years Radiology experience in a Lead or Senior Technologist role in one of the following modalities: xray; CT; MRI; US
  • CRT license/certification
  • Cert Radiologic Technologist
  • Basic Life Support
  • American Registry of Rad Techs
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Fluoroscopy license/ Certification
  • Experience in a large teaching facility
  • Certifications in one of the following: Fluroscopy, CT, MRI , ARDMS
  • Appropriate license/certification based on specialty (take from current CT, MRI, and US Job Description)
