Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Supervisor I or equivalent leadership experience overseeing multiple crews and areas
  • Authentic Safety Champion Attitude and model safety leadership for all employees
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple General Foremen and crews simultaneously while providing mentorship and career progression
  • Demonstrated ability to turn around customers/accounts/jobs through the creation, implementation, execution, and accountability of an improvement action plan
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively, including stays during storm or emergency restoration
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence crews and customer stakeholders across the division/area
  • Familiarity with advanced computer systems, including comfort with data tracking, performance reporting, and digital safety systems
  • Solid financial acumen to review budgets, job costs, and bid proposals. Ability to use the job costing reports to identify operational issues (efficiency, planning, etc.), control cost issues, and trends to improve the business
  • Exposure to P&L Management
  • IF REQUIRED by Territory: Must have ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Utility Specialist Certification and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker after one year of employment with support of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and oversight for multiple General Foremen and their crews, ensuring safe and efficient operations
  • Develop short- and mid-term operational plans, including crew allocation, storm response readiness, and resource deployment
  • Lead the execution of the Corporate Safety Program across all assigned areas; monitor leading indicators and address gaps
  • Oversee customer relationship management within a broader territory, ensuring high customer satisfaction, client development, and contract compliance
  • Assist the Division Manager in coordinating the efforts to respond to the Regional Vice President. This includes organizing bidders to look at work, assisting in developing crew compositions and production values, and adding valuable input on strategic positioning
  • Partner with the Division Manager in budget forecasting, cost control, bidding, and operational performance reporting
  • Mentor and develop General Foremen for career growth and succession readiness
  • Investigate escalated incidents or claims; recommend systemic improvements to reduce future risks.
  • Represent the company in customer and community meetings, promoting the corporate brand and safety culture
  • Serve as a liaison between the Division Manager and field leadership, providing accurate and timely updates
  • Extensive travel across larger territory; managing multiple deployments, storm readiness, and urgent client needs
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the Division Manager or Regional Vice President
  • Model all Leadership in Action (LIA) principles within area of responsibility, while developing and holding GFs accountable
  • Overall responsible for the professional growth, development, and success of each GF that reports to you
  • Ability to use the job costing reports to identify operation issues (efficiency, planning, etc.), cost control issues, and trends to improve the business
