A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Enforce safety standards, policies, practices, visual aids, and procedures within your area of responsibility to ensure safety remains top priority of team and (ii) Mentor the Supervisor I on systemic identification of root cause of process deviations to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Yellow Belt Certification
  • TWI Certification
  • 5 years experience in a high volume warehouse
  • Two (2) years experience managing direct reports

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety standards, policies, practices, visual aids, and procedures within your area of responsibility to ensure safety remains top priority of team
  • Mentor the Supervisor I on systemic identification of root cause of process deviations to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Establish multiple day production plan to meet customer demand while ensuring employee moral and managing costs
  • Manage associates to ensure safety and service objectives are met while ensuring cost and asset utilization are met
  • Maintain associate relations through department meetings, on-going interaction; monitor/report associate morale
  • Implement for all improve initiatives in your area of responsibility in order to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Implement revisions to standard operating procedures and standardized work based on improvements and changes in the business
  • Ensure company equipment is utilized and functioning properly to reduce safety risks
  • Establish weekly training plan across multiple functional areas to ensure cross training to meet customer demand
  • Recommend monthly changes to safety standards, policies, and practices to ensure highest level of quality and safety
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values.
