About The Position

As the warehouse supervisor, you will report to the warehouse manager lead a shift of warehouse staff for the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center in Cartersville, Georgia. You will lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service for Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators while ensuring safety and achievement of several critical key performance indicators (KPIs). In this role, you will support the seamless integration of warehouse and transportation operations. The warehouse supervisor will help drive continued innovation at an operation like no other in the food service industry.

Requirements

• Demonstrate functional knowledge and expertise in distribution, including warehousing, operations (including Six Sigma and Lean), engineering standards, warehouse equipment, and performance metrics.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of innovations in supply chain and warehouse operations.
• Experience with a warehouse management system.
• Complete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 60 pounds consistently.
• Prepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
• Have at least five years of experience in warehousing leadership.
• High school degree or similar.

Nice To Haves

• A keen understanding of warehouse design, layout, and flow.
• At least 10 years in warehouse operations supporting distribution.
• Experience with food service distribution.
• Knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with all food safety and general safety standards, quality specifications, and laws and regulations.
• A demonstrated ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Motivating, staffing, scheduling, and troubleshooting a team responsible for receiving, loading, staging and completing other warehouse tasks.
• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding safety and food safety.
• Recommending potential operational improvements to the warehouse manager.
• Closely collaborating with DC leaders to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Carefully monitoring expenditure data and supporting budget management.
• Instilling a culture of safety, engagement and positivity that reflects Chick-fil-A values and honors the role of Operators.
• Publishing KPIs for the warehouse and driving improvement as needed.
• Balancing the needs of the Operator with the capabilities of the operation.
• Collaborating with the warehouse manager regarding staff performance; identifying and driving areas of improvement; and recognizing team members’ outstanding performance.
• Supporting warehouse staff as needed.
• Supporting Chick-fil-A vision and strategy.
• Driving innovation in the distribution center operation.
• Completing other activities as deemed valuable by management.
