About The Position

Under the direction of the Regional School Age Program Director, the Supervisor, OST is responsible for the daily program operations including, program development and implementation, staff supervision, facility usage and parent relations. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA. Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification required. If not certified must achieve with 30 days of hire

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement risk management to provide safety and well-being of all children
  • Integrate YMCA character development program into daily programming
  • Support parental communications and staff with appropriate interactions with children, including discipline procedures
  • Proactively clean and/or repair program areas; maintain supplies and equipment
  • Attend all training courses, staff meetings and in-services without exception
  • Support pre-camp staff training program and on-going in-service training for camp and OST staff
  • Be familiar with the mission statement and core values of the YMCA.
  • Model the core values while working and communicating with other staff members
  • Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA Annual Support Campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans
