Where You Will Work Chino is an open-pit copper mining complex located 15 miles from the historic mining community of Silver City in southwestern New Mexico. The historic Chino mine was among the world's first low-grade, open-pit copper mines. Today, the operation consists of a 36,000-metric-ton-per-day concentrator that produces copper and a 150-million-pound-per-year solvent extraction/electrowinning plant that produces copper cathode from solution generated by run-of-mine leaching. What You Will Do Under general supervision, you supervise, coordinate, and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit. You assign, supervise, and review the work of staff in the assigned work unit, implement production plans according to the approved schedule, and may participate in the full range of daily operational duties performing the most difficult tasks. You inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify problem areas, and may direct remedial action. You conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff, prepare estimates of staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities, and maintain an inventory of parts and materials. You approve purchases of materials and equipment, maintain time, materials and equipment use reports, and requisition tools, supplies, materials, and equipment. You train staff in safety procedures and maintain safety data sheets for crews, and you perform other duties as required. What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $90,000 - $124,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
