Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or higher level degree
  • Valid California Driver License and exceptional DMV driving record if assigned to CC8443 EVS Professional Office Buildings
  • Two (2) years of related work experience in environmental services and/or supervising others in a service-related field
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively, optimize team productivity and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to foster a cooperative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and morale among colleagues
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas.
  • Supervises all assigned staff to include hiring, orienting, training, evaluating and coaching; escalates employee performance concerns to leadership and provides documentation for counseling and performance improvement plans (PIPs) as necessary.
  • Schedules days off, holidays, and vacations, ensuring that facility’s needs are met in accordance with hours and position control.
  • Assigns personnel established work areas or project duties; plans and coordinates project work to ensure that proper frequencies are maintained.
  • Ensures daily job duties are revised and current at all times; reviews job duties with regular and relief team members periodically.
  • Ensures that proper supply control guidelines are followed and staff is trained in the use of all chemicals.
  • Identifies and corrects facility quality assurance concerns; timely follow up is required.
  • Keeps records and appropriate log books current and maintains all necessary documentation; monitors service binders in assigned areas on a daily basis taking appropriate action.
  • Participates in facility Quality Assurance Program as required; ensures high quality percentage of clean is maintained in areas of assignment; performs Quality Assurance Inspections as assigned.
  • Assigns equipment to staff; monitors daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ensures that all equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times.
  • Responds to concerns and requests with a sense of urgency and takes necessary corrective action including timely follow-up.
  • Participates in department safety and maintains a safe work environment at all times.
  • Reports all unsafe equipment and acts to leadership.
  • Assists housekeepers on an as needed basis.
  • Ensures housekeeping office, storage, and closets are clean, organized, well maintained and professional in appearance at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
