About The Position

Assist Work Center Manager in leading/managing/and directing all manufacturing/production processes for the department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Ensure all safety guidelines are being met to ensure a safe work environment. Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best practices are always maintained. Develop and implement plans and schedules necessary to meet goals and objectives. Manage company assets to support completion of production schedules. Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis. Recommend changes to improve quality, lower overall costs, increase profitability and improve customer services. Establish and maintain sound employee relations and morale. Communicate with other departments regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met. Communicate with other departments to ensure supervisor coverage during times of vacation, illness, etc. Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiency and enhance productivity. Evaluate the performance of the associates. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Seek and facilitate improvements and enhancements from the team.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of manufacturing management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions.
  • Proficient with the inventory management system used by HDS.
  • Must exhibit excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead/work in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a high degree of dependability and integrity.
  • Steel toe or equivalent as required by HDS.
  • Any other safety requirements as defined by the EHS manager.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts.
  • Must be able to stand 10-12 hours daily.
  • Must have physical dexterity.
