About The Position

The Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center, Central Oregon's largest privately-owned Cancer Care and Research Center is looking for an exceptional leader to join our team. The Supervisor for the Gynecologic Oncology will ensure smooth operations, high-quality patient care, and effective coordination among clinical and administrative teams to meet and exceed the high level of service and support our community has come to expect from WVCI. Putting our patients above all is at the core of WVCI's mission, so having a supervisor that can lead from extensive experience is paramount. Understanding the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication, team development, and how to create a memorable first impression are highly desirable skills. The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $48,395.77 - $82,104.55. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc. Employment Type: 1.0 FTE (40 hr/week)

  • Five (5) years of medical office experience.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strong leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and records using EHR systems.
  • Handles escalated clinical issues and ensures timely resolution.
  • Coordinates with local surgical teams and operating facilities for breast surgery scheduling.
  • Monitors compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and clinical protocols.
  • Oversees daily clinic operations with a focus on surgical scheduling and patient flow.
  • Participates in recruitment, staff development, and achievement of performance goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates staff performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, or disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Provides assistance and coverage for front clinic staff when required.
  • Conducts department and sub-department meetings to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Develops and maintains a professional department that supports the organization's goal of improving cost-effectiveness in healthcare delivery.
  • Acts as a liaison between practice leadership, physicians, administration, and business departments.
  • Coordinates office procedures across front office, clinical staff, and billing to ensure smooth information flow.
