Technical Operations Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more. Job Overview and Responsibilities This supervisory position is required to manage all aspects of the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and Facility Maintenance (Facility MX) hub stockrooms. Position will ensure support and oversight for represented stockroom workgroups which will provide dedicated parts and tooling support for our GSE and Facility MX teams.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a technical or maintenance - related field in the automotive, trucking and/or facilities industries or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of planning and execution of maintenance operations, leading a team of maintenance personnel, advanced computer skills
  • Possess related technical knowledge
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance - related role
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver's license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Limited travel of up to 10% may be required
  • This is an operational position which may require you to be on-call and available at night and on weekends and holidays
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in business or related field
  • ASE Certification and/or related Skills/Trades Licenses
  • Knowledge of GSE-related maintenance operations and/or facilities / bulding maintenance skills / trades, such as Electrical, HVAC, Conveyor, Plumbing, building maintenance / systems
  • Experience in GSE-related and/or in building maintenance/systems-related maintenance operations

Responsibilities

  • Partners with all local customer bases ensuring positive customer relations and service level goals achieved
  • Maintain a positive working together relationship in a union environment
  • Supervises Stockroom team performance and execution against all division and corporate objectives
  • Leads efficient stockroom team operations in a positive, productive and safe work environment
  • Supervises warehouse productivity, coordinates training, manages employee dependability issues, supports team recognition program and supports employee accountability programs in accordance with policy
  • Leads safe and environmentally compliant warehouse operations
  • Supports safety / OSHA, environmental and training program compliance
  • Maintains proactive communication and positive relations with stockroom team and customer group stakeholders
  • Manages accurate and effective customer reporting and communications programs while sustaining positive customer service and effectiveness ratings
  • Involves stakeholders ensuring storeroom scheduling meets shop demands
  • Maintains staffing levels and ensures members are properly trained and equipped to support all job functions, including receiving, parts issues and receipts, physical inventory, safety, environmental and best housekeeping practices
  • Works with planning team and stakeholders to determine best economical stocking levels with consideration for local stock ordering intervals, vendor lead times while protecting critical part stock levels
  • Organizes stockroom to maximize efficient throughput
  • Maintains a positive working together relationship in a union environment promoting teamwork and supporting members to meet or exceed established metric goals
  • Procures, maintains and controls the required specialty tooling inventory to support our customers
  • Identifies parts, alternates and vendor availability and pricing. Ensures parts warranty and cores are properly managed and controlled
