Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant gas operations experience required.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite required.
• Knowledge of MAXIMO, LMS, SAP preferred.
• Technical knowledge of gas systems and practices preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state gas regulations including OSHA, DOT, and Pipeline Operator Qualifications preferred.
• Strong safety practices and record preferred.
• Experience managing a union workforce preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and emergencies with a calm demeanor.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Protect the safety of the public, company property, and personnel through monitoring and enforcement of work methods, construction standards, and procedures for emergency response, leak investigation, and other gas maintenance, construction, and service activities.
• Lead, supervise and motivate a culturally diverse workforce of roughly 20 field technicians through coaching, counseling, and team building.
• Initiate and institute corrective actions and process improvements.
• Utilize labor relations skills in order to administer and interpret contract language and resolve discipline cases and grievances.
• Take and pass all Operator Qualifications for Gas Field Operations similar to the field force that they would be supervising.
• Support achievement of goals including operational targets, mandated objectives, budget goals, emergency response, field collections, meter reading/AMR, investigations and safety.
• Support continual development of union workforce by conducting Safety Assessments (SUSA's), coaching, performance assessment and appraisal.
