The Press Brake Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the press brake department in a precision sheet metal fabrication environment. This role ensures production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The supervisor will lead a team of press brake operators, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with other departments to optimize workflow and efficiency.

  • Manage and schedule press brake operators to meet production targets.
  • Train and mentor team members on machine setup, operation, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Ensure jobs are completed according to specifications, drawings, and tolerances.
  • Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance as needed.
  • Optimize material usage and minimize waste.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Implement corrective actions for non-conforming parts.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce setup times, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production planning teams for workflow improvements.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in press brake operation and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of precision sheet metal processes, tooling, and CNC press brake programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
