About The Position

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the distribution and service food on all units and ensures they are maintained properly. Performs a variety of other related tasks following standard policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School or GED
• 3-5 years experience as a Food Service Worker
• Ability to work in a team.
• Interpersonal, written and organizational skills.
• Personal computer skills

Responsibilities

• Directs dishwashing/cleaning operations and performs and/or delegates tasks such as tray stripping: loading, unloading, and operating dishwasher; pot and pan washing; cleaning of kitchen equipment, carts and other equipment used in food production and service as well as in cleaning operations.
• Directs and monitors workflow to and from dishwasher to maintain an even flow of used dishes, trays, silverware, etc., through the various cleaning operations and checks for bottlenecks and overloads.
• Directs and monitors workflow of all unit dining areas and operations and/or delegates tasks such as tray assembly, serving, loading and distributions.
• Schedules all dietary aides and cafeteria servers.
• Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Maintains department records, reports and files as required.
• Assigns personnel to various workstations according to schedules. Orients, trains and evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
• Attends meetings as required. Participates in in-service programs.
