The Food Service Supervisor assists the director of food and nutrition Services to direct the entire food and nutrition services department and reports directly to the director of food and nutrition services. The supervisor must have basic knowledge and experience in all phases of food purchasing, preparation, production control, budgeting, inventory control, safety, sanitation, equipment, food and labor cost control, menu development, and must work well under the direction of the director of food and nutrition services.
