About The Position

The Fleet Management Supervisor plays a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining best practices, protocols, and systems for effective fleet management. Reporting to the Director of Fleet Management, the Supervisor serves as the frontline leader, maintaining strong relationships with various teams, motivating staff, and ensuring that operational goals are consistently met. Key responsibilities include overseeing fleet readiness activities, ensuring repairs, maintenance, and updates are conducted safely and promptly, and keeping stakeholders informed. The Supervisor will also identify opportunities for improvement, manage resources, and contribute to the development and execution of fleet management strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Fleet Management or related automotive field
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Strong multitasking/time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, efficient, and process-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/G-Suite Applications.
  • Basic math and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to challenges effectively.

  • Associate or BS in Engineering/Physics/Science or relevant field
  • Prior supervisory or management experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Fleet Management personnel, including coaching, managing attendance, and enforcing company policies.
  • Oversee the professional growth of team members through regular one-on-ones and annual performance reviews, ensuring effective coaching and development.
  • Ensure team members are compliant with all required training and up-to-date on protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of Motional vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal vehicle uptime.
  • Engage with multiple departments daily to ensure efficient fleet operations.
  • Develop, identify, and maintain fleet readiness tools.
  • Improve service delivery methods, processes, and procedures; propose and implement solutions
  • Accurately manage fleet documentation and compliance across multiple sites.
  • Oversee vehicle and personnel scheduling, assist with vehicle logistics.
  • Accurate and timely invoice submissions
  • Approve expense reports and manage budgetary considerations.
  • Lead and manage group projects related to fleet management.
  • Shift flexibility/longer hours
