About The Position

Responsible for supervising the financial activities across the organization, ensuring that performance and maintenance are effectively managed. Administers the day-to-day financial operations of an assigned team. Ensures that services are aligned with customer needs, comply with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and achieve the department's objectives. Assesses processes for screening self-pay and underinsured patients to ensure efficient and effective outcomes, such as transitioning to a financial program or payment. Principle Accountabilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s financial plans and policies. Prepare financial reports, monitor trends, and make necessary adjustments to achieve departmental goals. Identify and resolve issues while keeping leadership informed. Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the support, production, and operations teams. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Charity Care and Medicaid eligibility criteria, enrollment processes, and compliance. Stays up to date with process and system (EPIC) changes. Conduct team meetings with leaders and team members, including one-on-one meetings. Attend meetings related to financial assistance. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial clearance processes. Set priorities for the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Coordinate work activities with other leaders and supervisors. Make decisions and solve problems based on established policies, procedures, and business plans. Perform tasks with minimal supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 10 years of direct experience required
  • 5 years’ supervisor experience in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of Charity Care and Medicaid eligibility criteria, enrollment processes, and compliance.
