As part of Sparklight, a Cable One brand, we’re seeking a Supervisor, Contractor Field Operations to lead the management of contract labor across the organization. This role is responsible for optimizing contractor utilization, negotiating favorable vendor rates, and building national-level vendor relationships. The supervisor will also ensure consistent service delivery, monitor labor spend, and provide leadership with clear insights to support effective budget decisions and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience managing contract labor, vendor relationships, and field operations.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Fiber-Optic network operations and construction practices.
  • Proven leadership in team coordination and performance management.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Ability to work in all seasons and regularly scheduled weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for evaluating the necessity of contract labor across operations.
  • Identifying and eliminating non-essential engagements to streamline workforce efficiency.
  • Leads strategic negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing and prevent rate increases.
  • Expands vendor relationships across broader regions while maintaining consistent service rates.
  • Establishes and manages national-level partnerships with contract labor providers.
  • Ensures uniform service levels and response times across all operational areas.
  • Tracks and analyzes contract labor expenditures.
  • Provides leadership with detailed insights into spending patterns to support informed budgeting and timely adjustments.
