About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Supervisor in the Company's Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will directly supervise six (6) remote Field Technicians across Seattle Airspace and will be responsible for onsite support interfacing with the customer at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZSE/ARTCC). This position will work closely with the Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) receiving dispatches and service requests supporting FAA programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience working with fiber, Multiplexes, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications.
  • Experience with cable connectors and replacement including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449.
  • Experience with power testing, AD and DC including 3 Phase AC.
  • Experience with the operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC power supplies.
  • Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards.
  • Experience with Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital O-scope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets.
  • Experience with Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and the components of the MS Office Suite.
  • CCNA, CCNP, A+, MCP or MCDST, Dell Certified on desktop and laptop.
  • Experience with service dispatch centers.
  • Experience with interfacing with the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide both general and technical training and guidance to team members who are accountable for the implementation and maintenance of program services for large government networks and systems.
  • Provide onsite training and support and to ensure team members are following and implementing proper program and company policies, procedure, and protocol.
  • Ensure team resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support program operational needs.
  • Assist in objective setting, skill enhancement, resolution of employee concerns, and performance review activities for team members.
  • Proactively obtain customer feedback and provide support and guidance to team to ensure timely and quality customer services, and serve as an escalation point-of-contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOCC.
  • Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment, and/or telecommunications equipment, and maintain records on repairs, down time, changes and updates.
  • Work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
  • Travel (up to 100% at a time) to remote sites or outside assigned regions to assist with additional program or customer requests.
  • Lift items up to 50lbs (22.68kg) and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft (3.04m).
  • Obtain Public Trust Security Clearance and may be asked to obtain and maintain active DOD Secret Clearance.
