About The Position

The Supervisor Facilities at Medxcel is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department at St. Vincent's-Indianapolis, IN. This role involves strategic planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the physical plant's efficiency and safety. The Supervisor will lead a team, manage budgets, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure optimal facility operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in maintenance and operation of a physical plant or building maintenance for a large facility required.
  • Three years of experience in a large, multi-campus healthcare system preferred.
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, NFPA, and state and federal regulations for healthcare facilities preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic MS Office programs and web-based work order systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic and operational policies and plans for the Facilities Management department.
  • Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and budgeting within the Facilities Management department.
  • Establish a safe work environment through safety audits, inspections, and training.
  • Manage building operations, maintenance, utility operations, and grounds maintenance.
  • Oversee major infrastructure repair and renovation projects, managing vendors and contractors.
  • Act as a liaison for remodeling, renovation, and construction projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and partners regarding service status and issues.
  • Review and authorize purchase requests to ensure compliance with service agreements and budgets.
  • Maintain relations with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Collect and audit regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Direct daily work assignments to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and serve as a change agent.
  • Lead and guide staff to achieve operational excellence and optimal performance.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $82.7K - $105K per year.
