About The Position

Responsible for overseeing the effective maintenance and operation of all facility assets, including equipment, buildings, and systems. This role involves managing the facilities and maintenance department to ensure that all maintenance activities align with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School.
  • Associate’s degree training related to the operation and maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • 8+ years of supervisory/management experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment is required.
  • Must have a strong record of successfully implementing effective preventative maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Understand the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, as applicable to the role.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or trade/mechanical training related to the operation and maintenance of industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site maintenance function, providing both reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance services for all operational equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Investigate, analyze, plan, design, and direct the execution of a wide variety of maintenance solutions to support the safety, quality, and reliability of the facility's equipment.
  • Direct maintenance functions to ensure the facility's infrastructure and equipment are maintained in a safe and reliable condition, minimizing unplanned production downtime.
  • Develop projects using Lean methodology to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Analyze results against plans and propose corrective actions while providing coaching and support to ensure successful implementation.
  • Coordinate the inspection, preventive breakdown, and corrective maintenance of all facility mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program, lay the groundwork for Predictive Maintenance, ensuring that all preventative maintenance is conducted, planning for missed activities, and leading the team to deliver effective results.
  • Manage the process of introducing new machinery, plants, and equipment, from drafting specifications to managing suppliers through to complete installation.
  • Supervise facilities and maintenance teams, vendors, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Lead the maintenance team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor task completion, performance, and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.
