This position is responsible for ensuring that workers operate in a safe manner and within a safe environment, adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The role involves participating in both planned and unplanned audits of the plant floor and team performance, maintaining a safety-first approach, and communicating daily productivity to drive continual improvement with production employees. The supervisor will complete inspections to verify that materials are packed according to product type and customer expectations, carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, and direct employees' daily activities to meet company goals. The position requires the ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders, establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, and assist in training the workforce in problem-solving and continuous improvement. The supervisor will also confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities necessary for success, ensure hourly payroll is completed weekly, and must thrive in a fast-paced environment while being familiar with KPI management.
