About The Position

The Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Operations Supervisor supports the development and implementation of significant programmatic solutions as well as oversight of day-to-day departmental operations. Responsibilities include assessment of Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Department needs by providing recommendations for department wide solutions to ESS management and senior leadership; analysis of delivery methods; cross-functional alignment of workstreams; ensuring program and district compliance with relevant industry, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Administrative Social Work or related discipline from an accredited institution is required
  • Three (3+) or more years of Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or Administrative Social Work is required

Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day monitoring of team budgets and designated financial activities; provides guidance and training to staff on project cost tracking and fiscal procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison between ESS Operations, Finance, and Procurement on vendor spending, purchase requests, and contract execution
  • Reviews and analyzes vendor expenditures; supports buyers in identifying vendors, coordinating contracts, and monitoring spending compliance
  • Acts as operational lead for assigned RFPs, contract staffing agencies, and Medicaid related projects, supporting documentation, timelines, and contract administration
  • Prepares operational reports and dashboards for leadership that summarize program effectiveness, compliance status, and improvement opportunities
  • Directly supervises Office Support staff and oversees related operational systems and workflows, including records requests, Child Find referrals, Location Determination Team (LDT) processes, and transportation coordination
  • Directly supervises the Operations Coordinator and ensures timely completion of assigned operational tasks and priorities
  • Oversees day-to-day operational program supports, including ESS websites, enrollment and projection processes, staff laptop deployment, and assistive technology coordination
  • Oversees operational financial processes, including purchase orders, contractors, purchase requests, department P-cards, Independent Education Evaluation (IEE) and settlement payments, and Medicaid compliance tracking
  • Supports the development, maintenance, and consistent implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ESS Operations
