Assists the Director of Support Services in managing the staff of colleagues who perform a wide range of tasks to keep the hospital and nearby properties in a clean, orderly condition. Assumes total responsibility in the absence of the department director. Accepts special assignments, collects performance data, assists with establishing and resolving staff competencies and collaborates in preparing and monitoring the annual budget. The person in this position demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide service appropriate to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
