About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising environmental services staff. Maintain established work schedules to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Ensure sound Infection Control Practices for internal moves driving special room requested cleanings during assigned shift by applying sound management and human relation practices. Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Job Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising Environmental Services Specialists in maintaining established work schedules, to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Contribute to the execution of environmental services projects and operational implementation of programs. Manage space changes across campus to ensure cleaning standards are met for staff/office moves. Support development and implementation of standards, policies, and procedures for Environmental services. Research on new techniques to be used in one's own area; Stay updated with the latest trends in the environmental services industry. Lead and supervise teams; Train, mentor, and guide team members, and ensure they have all the resources required to complete their assigned tasks. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental services or a relevant area.
  • Some experience implementing and monitoring environmental services cleaning policies, procedures, and programs
  • Experience leading/monitoring teams/ resources/ timelines within the area.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Proven performance in earlier role.
  • Plans the workload for team and gives clear instructions and expectations on delivery.
  • Frequently reviews work, gives positive and constructive feedback, and completes evaluations.
  • Coaches and supports the development efforts of each team member.
  • Leads team meetings on an as needed basis and effectively communicates with cross-functional teams for results.
  • Understands and uses digital tools of communication as needed.
  • Speaks up in meetings, raises concerns, and shares information with team.
  • Able to draw insights from different sets of data and quickly understand why issues are happening.
  • Solves problems quickly by identifying the root causes.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably one year of post-high school education (Management, Business Administration, or related field) and/ or exposure to leadership training and responsibilities.
