Supervises activities of housekeeping department including daily workflow and schedules; hiring and managing department employees; financial management of the department; and adherence to all quality and regulatory standards. Responsible for productive housekeeping work which shall include, but is not limited to, patient area cleaning, floor buffing, stripping, carpet shampooing, extracting, project work, discharge and terminal cleaning, and hands on training of housekeeping employees. Evaluates and monitors quality improvement indicators for safety and sanitation utilizing established programs and standards. Participates in problem solving and developing action plans to continually improve safety and sanitation of facility.
