Under the supervision of the Manager, Assistant Director and Director of Environmental Services, the Supervisor inspects assigned areas ensuring compliance with established cleaning standards. Determines cleaning effectiveness by staff and assesses the need for special cleaning, reports items in need of repair or in unsatisfactory condition, per department procedures and requested documentation. Trains new hires and orients staff to hospital/infection control and department procedures. Reviews employees application of chemicals and proper use. Ensures soiled linen is collected and removed from areas of responsibilities. Recommends disciplinary action in accordance with Human Resources guidelines. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
