About The Position

Supervisor, Environmental Services helps provide direct leadership and guidance to staff to ensure that high level of cleanliness, quality and service is achieved and maintained. The position involves maintaining a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas, coordinating with other departments for projects, and assigning personnel to work areas. The supervisor may assist with housekeeping and laundry during staffing shortages and is responsible for planning and coordinating project work to maintain proper frequencies. The role also includes ensuring staff receive proper training, monitoring quality assurance, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Prefer supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Work closely with other departments to coordinate projects, room moves, and turnovers.
• Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
• Assist with coverage in housekeeping and laundry during staffing shortages.
• Plan and coordinate project work to ensure proper frequencies are maintained.
• Ensure staff receive proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
• Monitor individual guidance and motivation to associates.
• Perform Quality Assurance Inspections as assigned.
• Monitor daily equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports.
• Participate in department safety and maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure office, storage, and closets are clean and organized.
• Assist with The Joint Commission (TJC) compliance.
• Participate in staff selection process and interview candidates.
• Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations.
• Review duty lists with associates and maintain records.
• Monitor service binders in assigned areas daily.
• Respond to concerns and requests with urgency.
