Cleveland Clinic's Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we're looking to add an Environmental Services Supervisor to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. The Supervisor role is crucial in supporting the mission and vision of Cleveland Clinic. By leading and managing a team effectively, a supervisor ensures that the organization's standards for patient care, safety, and operational efficiency are met. This role directly contributes to creating a positive and productive work environment, which aligns with the organization's commitment to excellence in healthcare. A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday, from 6:00am-4:00pm with rotational weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Three years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager OR one year of supervisory experience in a related field OR a bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department.
  • Act as a technical resource for team members.
  • Implement goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units.
  • Provide effective utilization of personnel, policies, and procedures in order to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
  • Supervise caregivers in daily operations and evaluate performance.
  • Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality of cleaning and maintenance is being performed.
  • Maintain staffing levels.
  • Approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
  • Ensure cross coverage.
  • Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
  • Improve procedures and processes.
  • Analyze workflow and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.
