About The Position

The Supervisor of Enterprise Applications is responsible for leading the delivery, optimization, and operational support of Epic and related clinical systems across the organization. This role provides day-to-day leadership for Clinical, Access, and Revenue Application Analysts while ensuring strong governance, structured work management, and alignment to clinical, operational, and strategic priorities. The Supervisor partners closely with clinical leaders, IT Operations, Interfaces, BI/Analytics, and the PMO to ensure stable system performance while advancing optimization initiatives, upgrades, and transformation efforts through an Agile/hybrid delivery model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, with 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Agile or hybrid delivery models within healthcare IT.
  • Strong understanding of clinical, access, and revenue workflows and healthcare operations.
  • Experience leading upgrades, testing cycles, and large-scale optimization initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or similar).

Nice To Haves

  • Agile certification (CSM, CSPO) preferred.
  • Epic certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop a team of Enterprise Application Analysts supporting application domains (e.g., Ambulatory, Access, Revenue, Care Management, Ancillary).
  • Establish clear execution discipline using Agile/hybrid practices (backlog refinement, iteration planning, Definition of Ready/Done, story decomposition).
  • Oversee application backlog management, ensuring prioritization aligns with clinical operations and portfolio governance.
  • Monitor team capacity, maintenance vs. project allocation, and operational workload distribution.
  • Oversee configuration, enhancement, and optimization of Epic and integrated clinical applications.
  • Ensure strong intake and requirements processes, translating clinical needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve workflow efficiency, usability, and patient care outcomes.
  • Lead coordination for upgrades, integrated testing, and release readiness activities.
  • Ensure configuration integrity and periodic reconciliation of system build against operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission, Cures Act as applicable).
  • Implement structured change management and documentation practices.
  • Monitor system utilization, issue trends, and enhancement delivery metrics.
  • Provide leadership reporting on operational performance, risks, and optimization progress.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical operations, IT infrastructure, interfaces, BI, and vendor partners.
  • Support enterprise initiatives requiring cross-team coordination (integrations, data exchange, population health, care coordination).
  • Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for clinical systems.
