About The Position

The Supervisor of Endovascular Laboratory directs the daily clinical and operational activities of the hybrid peripheral vascular Cath Lab, as well as the hybrid, vascular operating room. This position serves a dual role functioning as both Supervisor and Clinician. They are responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, staff management, and high-quality patient care. With the incorporation of the hybrid vascular operating room, the position will also play a key role and establishing workflows, coordinating staff amongst the Cath Lab, operating room, and anesthesia. The Supervisor will also have responsibilities in the integration of state of the art CT overlay imaging into the hybrid procedures being done at Monument Health. Requirements

  • Education - Associates degree Cardiovascular Technology
  • Certifications - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Experience - 3+ Years Cardiac Cath Lab Experience
  • Physical Requirements: Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.

Responsibilities

  • Operational oversight: Manage daily operations, including scheduling staff and procedures, coordinating cases, maintaining minimal turnover time, and ensuring any efficient work environment.
  • Staff leadership: Provides leadership, training, and clinical oversight to endovascular lab caregivers. Conducts performance reviews and manages staffing needs.
  • Quality and compliance: Assesses activities for quality improvement and ensures consistent compliance with all internal and external regulatory agencies, such as the Joint Commission.
  • Resource management: Develops and manages departmental budgets, participates in capital equipment analysis and procurement. Manages inventory of supplies and devices.
  • Clinical collaboration: Works closely with physicians (Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Vascular Specialists) to optimize patient outcomes and integrate new procedures such as TAMBE, PMEG, TAVR, TEVAR, TCAR, and Endo Bentall.
  • All other duties as assigned.
