Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years supervisory experience in warehouse operations
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of automated systems such as TMS, WMS, Produce Ordering and Receiving System, Time and Attendance, Absentee Tracking and E-mail
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, work with delivery schedules, prioritize work and successfully manage activities across multiple areas
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Special handling knowledge of various merchandise including perishable, high volume, or specially packed goods.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve operational issues that affect shipping, receiving, or inventory control operations with Shift Manager on a continuous basis.
  • Supervise, direct, organize, and coordinate daily staffing and workload to ensure delivery schedules are met.
  • Drive and achieve targeted supply chain metrics to deliver the right product, in the right condition, at the right time and at the right cost.
  • Train, evaluate and monitor new hires to determine satisfactory completion of probationary period
  • Maintain a safe work environment and safe work culture for everyone through daily. communication with our associates and management team. Safety must be a consistent message through education, correction, and recognition from the management team.
  • Manage loading, shipping, and receiving for accuracy while also working to minimize damage and follow proper trailer loading/unloading procedures.
  • Handle all reports and paperwork for current shift pertaining to selector/receiver checks, production, safety, attendance and temperature monitoring.
  • Counsel and/or initiate disciplinary steps as necessary
  • Ensure that automated systems (DOSS, WMS, TMS, produce ordering and Receiving systems, Time and Attendance, Absentee Tracking, etc.) are properly performed and supported.
  • Manage truck scheduling and accept emergency inbound merchandise as necessary.
  • Originate internal and external contacts with warehouse managers, office associates, warehouse personnel, distribution services, store supervision, purchasing, transportation and outside vendors.
  • Inspect warehouse for safety compliance and ensure proper safety and sanitation regulations are being adhered to.
  • Maintain accountable for sustaining proper inventory control procedures.
