The successful candidate will be principally responsible for supervising and directing the safe, efficient movement of traffic (including personnel, supplies, ore, and waste) on the rail and coordinating, tracking, monitoring, and reporting the internal movement of ore and waste production by the truck fleet and transfer operators. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain communications for all underground departments and surface facilities. Monitoring of the landline phone, leaky feeder radio, and mine phone system. Recordkeeping of communications. Timely and accurately transferring information between supervisors and departments on a shift-by-shift basis. Working with other supervisors, lead people and departments. Coordinating the flow of material through employees not under the supervision of Dispatch Coordinator. Initiating/implementing recommendations to improve the efficiency of the operation. Monitoring employee call-offs; monitoring and enforcement of the Good Neighbor Agreement Transportation Policy. Handling/assisting mine emergencies, including understanding ERP and other company response documents. Working closely with other Dispatch Coordinators. Controlling and initiating the end of shift blasting. The incumbent will also be assigned to perform front-line supervisor duties, including but not limited to drug/alcohol testing, personnel issues, coordination of efforts on surface to support underground supervisor and special projects.
